Dates: Our next training starts in Fall of 2019. Stay tuned.

Prerequisites: Written application and interview. Some experience with Pilates in both mat and equipment work.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:

You’ll master the vast repertoire of Pilates mat and reformer work to help your clients move better, get stronger, and work smarter. We’ll build good assessment skills and practices, and gain clear knowledge of why we teach each exercise from a biomechanical perspective.

You’ll also develop the skills to teach a safe, effective Pilates class including verbal cueing, hands on techniques and assists, program development, class progression, and anatomical and motivational imagery. Other topics include common regressions/modifications, contraindications and considerations for special populations, charting and business considerations, and safe set up and maintenance of the machines.

We immerse you in the Pilates method with opportunities to assist Senior teachers, and work with clients in a private setting. You’ll finish training with the keen eye of a Pilates teacher, and the ability to move students forward in a positive way.
